Our Approach
At Crest Health Group, we are proud to be an occupational therapy-led organisation, focused on delivering
individualised and bespoke support that meets the unique needs of each organisation and individual.
Importantly, we work as part of a multidisciplinary team, drawing on the knowledge and expertise of a variety of health and related professionals. This team-based approach ensures that you receive comprehensive, well-rounded support tailored to your specific situation.
Everything we do is evidence-based and built around your individual needs—because no two people or organisations are the same, and the support you receive from Crest Health Group reflects that.
As we are an occupational therapy led service, Crest Health Group Ltd uses peer reviewed occupational therapy models of practice, guiding our assessments, interventions and outcomes to support individuals navigating health challenges in the workplace.
The Model of Human Occupation (MOHO) helps us understand how a person’s motivation, routines, roles, skills, abilities and environment influence their ability to engage in work and other daily activities and how injury, illness or disability can in turn, influence these person factors. Using MOHO, we create tailored interventions to restore work routines, build confidence, and gradually reintroduce meaningful job roles in a structured, supportive way.
The Person Environment Occupation (PEO) model focuses on the dynamic fit between a person, their work environment, and the tasks they need to perform. In occupational health and vocational rehabilitation, this model helps us:
Assess the person: their physical, cognitive and mental health, capabilities, and coping strategies.
Analyse the environment: ergonomic setup, workplace culture, accessibility, support systems, and employer flexibility.
Examine the occupation: the demands of the job, essential duties, and any challenges in task performance.
By addressing barriers in any of these three areas—person, environment, or occupation—we help optimise the match so individuals can return to or remain in work safely, sustainably, and confidently.
